Interviewer: Congrats Lindsey Vonn on your 73rd World Cup Win. It was a great Run and I had the feeling that you had fun today.
Lindsey: It was a difficult course setting on this course but I had fun at the bottom. that was great to ski. But at the middle i didn’t ski optimal. But it was a great weekend a perfect start of 2016. There is nothing better.
Interviewer: You said difficult course setting that’s interesting because your trainer made it.
Lindsey: Sure it was good for me the distance between the gates was good for me. But on this hill it’s difficult to set a Super G. It’s better for the Downhill because the curves are longer. But at the bottom it was a tactic race and I took the speed and it worked out for me.
Interviewer: You were also really confident. You were the 1st from the top group but in the finish you were already really happy.
Lindsey: I thought that Lara or Vicky could maybe bet me because in the middle it wasn’t go enough but Vicky made a mistake at the bottom where you shouldn’t make a mistake and Lara was also skiing well in the middle part but i think i took more speed from the left curve tot he finish. But to come with such a big margin over a second in the finish you have to be happy.
Interviewer: Lara Gut is now 38 points in front of you in the Overall Worldcup. Was it the goal to get closer to her this weekend?
Lindsey: No my goal is to win. When I can make a good race. When I can give 100 percent then the wins will come and then the 100 points are coming. But when you always look at the globe you won’t get it.
Interviewer: Before the races you were at home in the USA: Will you do that again after this weekend because it worked out so well?
Lindsey: I’ll have some days off and hopefully I can visit my friend Maria Höfl-Riesch. But unfortunately I have no time this season to go home again but i have enough energy from the last journey.
