Controversy Behind Beauty Pageant | Scam 2015 | India Vs Bharat

"Miss Universe 2015 finals became the burning issue of the year because of the great confusion that occurred during the show. Colombian representative, Ariadna Gutierrez, was mistakenly crowned as the winner, which was later on taken away and given to Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach from the Philippines and declared the original winner. This abrupt incident gave rise to many controversies. The main question lies – ‘Are beauty pageants a scam and scripted?’ Here are #famestars Jayvijay Sachan and Sonel Chauhan, who are trying to focus on the biases that prevail in these beauty pageants. Beauty is something that lies within and your height is not the only criterion to judge how beautiful you are! Or Is it money, that changes the whole game? On what basis these standards have been set that 5’10 height is the basic eligibility for the competition? If we go back to the year 1994, Sushmita Sen, with such a strong personality and dusky complexion made her way to the finals and won the crown. She started to bring the revolution in this field. Malaika Arora Khan, who is such a good speaker with a perfectly toned body, could not win as she is short in height! It is to be considered that many girls commit suicide just because they are not been provided with equal opportunities.
This debate is an on-going process and a minute change has also been witnessed, but there is a need to change it a lot more! Everyone should at least be provided equality in this matter and the real beauty should be appreciated for all that matters is the Spirit to win that lies in the heart.
