Waters Rise Along the Mississippi River Basin

The Mississippi River is as high as it’s been since the “great flood” of 1993, officials said on Tuesday, December 29, and some parts may set records. A levee breached in West Alton, north of St Louis, prompting evacuation orders for residents. And the Mississippi isn’t the only river seeing high water: Most of the streams in the river’s drainage basin are also at peak levels.This video shows flooding on Monday in several areas of Missouri: Sullivan, Bourbon, Devil’s Elbow, Hazelgreen, and Jerome.
