Norway's call to remove crosses from refugee housing causes backlash

While trying to make the housing conditions more welcoming for refugees, Norwegian immigration authorities have provoked a backlash within the country. Last week, the Norwegian directorate of immigration declared that all buildings to house the newcomers must remove religious imagery. However one Christian community centre, that could host up to one thousand refugees, made a stand against the request and kept the crosses.
