This is by far the most beautiful multi-language nasheed in the world. Ini adalah nasyid berbagai bahasa yang paling merdu yang anda pernah dengari.
This nasheed is called Raqat 'Ayna Ya Shawqan (رقت عيناي شوقا) and was performed by the beautiful, Iman Farrar (dubbed the voice of an angel) and the Malay Chanting Group at Multicultural Mawlid Concert in Sydney Australia in 2015 during the commemoration of the Prophet Muhammad's birth. The show was produced by The Muslim Community Radio 92.1FM, a 2MFM production.
There has been many different versions of this classic nasheed made popular by Lebanese singer Maher Zain (ماهر زين), and went with many different titles as well. The popular Assalamu Alayka (السلام عليك ) and has been sung in many languages such as English, Turkish and Albanian. Other titles such as Nasheed Ya Rasulullah (يارسول الله) and Mawlaya (مولاي) also contain similar lyrics and wordings sending blessings and salutations to Prophet Muhammad S.A.W Peace Be Upon Him (PBUH). These nasheeds centered around the longing of Moslem's heart desiring to visit and be in Medina (المدينة المنورة) , called Muhammad's City. This is where Masjid an-Nabawi المسجد النبوي (the Prophet's mosque) is. The heart of Muslims are longing to be near the tomb of the prophet, to have the feeling to being close to him, and the chance to see him in Jannah. For those who have never been to Medina, the song provide encouragement, and for those who have been there it will bring back beautiful memories of Medina.
Unlike the Maher Zain and other versions, this version uses salawat (الصلواتُ عليك - as sholawatu alayka) which means blessing upon Prophet Muhammad rather than the phrase "Assalamu 'alayka (السلام عليك), which means may salutations be sent upon Muhammad, Prophet and The Messenger of Allah.
