USA – US ‘Concerned’ about Cubans Stranded in Central America

The second bi-annual meeting on Cuba-U.S. migration policies held in Washington has concluded without coming to any agreements. In a press release issued after the meeting, the Cuban delegation said the U.S. has no intention of changing migration policies currently in place for Cuban citizens, alluding to the “wet-foot dry-foot” policy. A relic of a past era, the policy is no longer rational, say critics, charging that it causes safety problems for Cubans.
