USA: One woman's battle to help 'immigration orphans'
One year before the US presidential election, the issue of illegal immigration is a key campaign issue for both Republican and Democratic candidates.
In some families, the parents are in the country illegally, but their children were born on in the United States and are therefore US citizens. Every year, around 100,000 of these children lose a parent to deportation.
To avoid seeing these "immigration orphans" being placed into foster care, volunteers step forward to become their legal guardians. Nicaragua-born Nora Sandigo, nicknamed the "Great Mother", has volunteered for 850 of them. Our team in Miami went to meet her.
