Pas atentatit mafioz qe i mori jetë gjyqtarit te Vlorës Skerdilajd Konomi, një tjetër zyrtar i larte sulmohet ne qytetin bregdetar.
Dy persona ende te panjohur kane lyer me benzine dhe i kane vene flaken makinës se shefit te Policisë Bashkiake te Vlorës, Ardi Veliu qe e ushtron detyrën prej afro dy vjetësh. Mjeti tip "Benz Mercedes" është shkrumbuar ndërsa ishte parkuar ne lagjen "Isa Boletini" poshtë pallatit te kryepolicit bashkiak. Ngjarja ka ndodhur pak minuta pas orës 01:00 te mëngjesit te se hënës. Patrulla e policisë qe kalonte ne lagje i ka pikasur autoret dhe është vene ne ndjekje te tyre. Edhe pse është qëlluar tre here ne ajër, agresoret nuk kane ndaluar por duke përfituar edhe nga errësira kane mundur te largohen. Burime te policisë bëjnë me dije se pranë mjetit janë gjetur dy bidonë me benzine. Mësohet se janë shoqëruar disa persona pas ngjarjes, madje edhe ish-punonjës te policisë bashkiake te pushuar ne vite nga puna. Ndërsa zyrtarisht Drejtoria e Policisë se Vlorës është mjaftuar me një komunikate shtypi, ku nuk përmend as emrin e plote te zyrtarit Veliu, apo funksionin e tij. I kontaktuar nga "Vizion Plus" Veliu thotë se nuk ka asnjë konflikt personal dhe se incidenti ka shkaktuar tronditje ne familjen e tij. Makina përdorej jo vetëm nga kryepolici por edhe bashkëshortja e tij qe punon pedagoge ne universitetin e Vlorës. Pas ekspertizës, makina është dërguar ne zonën e ish-kripores. Gjate muajve te fundit krimi ne Vlorë ka marre përmasa te frikshme. Ekzekutimi ne mes te qytetit i gjyqtarit Konomi, me ane te shpërthimit me eksploziv te makinës, shokoi jo vetëm banoret e qytetit bregdetar. Mos zbardhja e ngjarjes, por dhe sulmi ndaj prefektit te qarkut te Vlorës, Eduard Velçani, shtuan edhe me shume pasigurinë ne këtë qytet. Prefekti u kërcënua me jete nga dy vëllezër qe refuzoi ti takonte ne korridor. Gjate përpjekjes për te ndihmuar prefektin, mbeten te plagosur një zyrtar, si dhe roja i godinës.
