Faqja ne internet "Wikileaks" e cila tronditi politiken botërore me publikimin e një sere dokumentesh konfidenciale te ambasadave te Shteteve te Bashkuara, ka publikuar këtë radhe një numër te madh dokumentesh te klasifikuara për Shqipërinë. Behet fjale per disa letra qe ish-ambasadori John Withers i dërgonte Departamentit te Shtetit për te informuar lidhur me ngjarje qe kishin ndodhur ne Shqipëri gjate javës, por edhe për çështje te nxehta politike dhe ekonomike qe ishin teme dite ne te gjitha mediat kryesore ne vend. Nder këto dokumente gjenden edhe njoftimet qe Withers ka bere për Fatos Nanon ne një letër me titull "Ringjallja e Fatos Nanos, ne po te presim", apo edhe njoftimet e herëpashershme lidhur me zhvillimet pas tragjedisë se Gerdecit.
