Cuba: FARC Rejects Referendum, Favors Constituent Assembly

The FARC guerrillas vehemently opposed a bill presented by the Colombian government on Wednesday that authorizes a national referendum on the final peace accord. The FARC said they have not been consulted on the measure and continue to favor a constituent assembly as the mechanism for ending the conflict. The government conceded that any measure adopted would have to be supported by the FARC. teleSUR
