Chile: Neruda Could Have Been Assassinated, Gov't Says

Chile's most famous poet and champion of left-wing causes Pablo Neruda, might have been assassinated in the aftermath of the September 11, 1973 military coup. An Interior Minister report whose veracity has been acknowledged indicates that the Novel Prize winning poet was highly likely poisoned as opposed to the official version that he died of prostate cancer.
