Metal detectors planned at Temple Mount entrance

The Israeli Police has decided to place metal detectors at the entrance to the Temple Mount, Interim Police Chief Bentzi Sau said on Sunday, in order to prevent people from bringing weapons to al-Aqsa Mosque.
"Use of the Ruger has led to a significant decrease in incidents," said Sau.
In addition, Sau noted that recent terror attacks have mostly targeted haredim and Israelis in uniform , saying 68 police officers have been wounded since the start of recent disturbances.
Demonstrations near Gaza City's Shujai'yah neighborhood in the northern Gaza Strip saw around 150 protesters attempting to cross through a gap in the border fence that was created on Friday, but were pushed back.
Earlier Sunday, Palestinians from Gaza opened fire at a team of workers carrying out maintenance to the border fence in the Eshkol Regional Council.
