As onion prices hit the roof, robbers targeted shop, Onions weighing 75 kg were robbed from a vendor cart situated in Badlapur city in thane district, leaving the shocked owner in tears. Based on the information the police have registered a case under the Indian Penal Code (IPC) section for theft against the unidentified persons. Investigators said the theft occurred due to the rising onion price. Probe is on to track down the accused.
