Gandhinagar: Recently, BJP leaders faced protest by Patel community women during two separate events in Mehsana and Patan districts as they demanded reservation under the OBC quota while beating steel dishes with spoons. The constant stunts of Patels have given the state government sleepless nights and therefore, government has decided to bring 'Modi' in to woo voters ahead of civic polls slated for October. Gujarat BJP spokesperson IK Jadeja said that the state party unit will hold Vijay Vishwas Sammelans at district headquarters during 12-19 September in connection with upcoming local self government body elections of District Panchayat, Taluka Panchayat, Municipalities and Municipal Corporations.
