Karpal repeats criticism on Lim Guan Eng

DAP chairperson Karpal Singh yesterday repeated his criticism of the partys secretary general and Penang Chief minister Lim Guan Eng for supporting Anwar in welcoming Bota assemblyperson Nasaruddin Hashim for hopping to PKR before re-defecting to Umno, just 10 days later.

He said the party stand is against cross-overs just as it is against the implementation of Hudud.

Karpal said that no one in the DAP, no matter how high up in the party hierarchy can go against these two positions that the party has adopted.

The veteran politician said that he has the support of the party and its leadership.

He said he was willing to meet with Anwar, but has not been able to speak with Lim Guan Eng.

In the latest development today, DAP's top leaders have agreed to set aside their differences and focus on the upcoming by-elections.

The by-elections are for the Bukit Gantang parliamentary seat in Perak and Bukit Selambau state seat in Kedah.

Karpal, Lim Kit Siang and former chairperson Dr Chen Man Hin held a meeting last night where they agreed to bury the hatchet.

The leaders agreed that the upcoming by-elections were more urgent matters.
