LGE: No to nuclear stations in Penang

Penang Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng is adamant that Penang will not host a nuclear power station because of the government's poor track record in building safety. Lim listed a number of examples when construction has failed, causing major structural damage to the buildings.

At the same press conference held in Parliament Lim lamented on the discriminatory heritage funding the Federal government practises. Malacca he said received RM30 million directly while the money allocated for Penang has been put through the government's investment arm, Khazanah Holdings.
