Skoda will improve its current range of connectivity options and introduce the SmartGet system on its entire range of Fabia, Rapid, Octavia, Yeti and Superb internationally. Currently, the SmartLink system is available on all these cars. But the SmartLink system is more geared towards providing Infotainment like music, video etc. The SmartGet will be more geared towards providing a much more efficient driving experience.
Android or iOS will be connected through Wi-Fi and apps on your phone will download data such as running cost and performance figures of the car. Many other free apps will be offered by Skoda for download. These apps are now available for download on Google Playstore, Apple Appstore and Windows Market.
As far as the system making its way to India, there is no such news of it coming to India as of now.
