Ahmedabad: Officials of Gujarat Pollution control Board (GPCB) is set to issue immediate closure notice to Omkar chemical factory in Suez farm area of the city. This action was taken after the unit management was found guilty. Notably, a girl lost her life while at least five others fell ill following the sudden emission of poisonous gas from the gutter connected to the chemical factory. It has came to light that the factory was functioning without a No-Objection Certificate.
