A non-profit organization, the Halo Trust, delivered a mine-free zone to peasant families in La Honda, a mountainous region in northwest Colombia near the city of Medellin. Landmines were a major feature of the country's civil war and have claimed 10,900 victims since 1990. Colombia is the second most affected country in the world. teleSUR
