Muhyiddin urged to keep his RM 2.5 million pledge to Indian school

Two DAP MPs are urging Deputy Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin to come good on his pledge to allocate RM2.5 million for the construction of a Tamil school in Gunung Rapat, Perak three years ago.

Batu Gajah MP V Sivakumar and Gopeng MP Lee Boon Chye claimed Muhyiddin made the promise during a gathering with people in Ipoh three years ago, after the school managed to obtain a 2.4acre land for some badly-needed expansion.

But the money is yet to be channelled, leading to the school authorities coming to Parliament today in order to submit a memorandum to the Education Ministry, headed by Muhyiddin.
