Paraguay Bus Drivers Crucify Themselves in Protest
  • 9 years ago
Twenty bus drivers have crucified themselves in front of the Labor Ministry in Paraguay as a form of protest. They along with 30 others were fired last July for starting a labor union. The drivers accused Minister Guillermo Sosa of being an accomplice of right-wing congressman Selso Maldonado, the owner of the firm that fired them. The workers charge that they were forced to work 16 hours a day without social security for very low salaries. teleSUR
