12 years removed from his official retirement, Michael Jordan is still basketball’s greatest icon. But it’s easy to forget that MJ is 52 years old and doesn’t fully understand the “hip” ways in which millennials interact. One of the many unusually exciting things millennials engage in nowadays is going up to random strangers, pointing at their shoes and yelling, “What are those!?” We here at The Fumble have no idea why it’s funny, or why it even became a thing. Not surprisingly, Michael Jordan didn’t exactly know what it meant when a teen yelled the question during a Q&A session at his youth basketball camp. Once Jordan was able to regroup, he fired back with a simplistic burn of his own.
