Sheriff’s deputies in the college town of Boulder, Colorado came across a wandering saw-whet owl on Thursday. The brief encounter between the owl and the officers ended with a Facebook update.

While on patrol in Boulder, Colorado on Thursday, sheriff’s deputies came across a wide-eyed baby owl wandering alongside a gravel road.
The deputies stopped their car to snap a few pictures of the bird before it flew away without incident.
According to the Boulder County Sheriff’s Office’s Facebook page, there was some “curious head twisting."
