Find out why these Lebanese men are slipping into 'red heels'

Lebanese men change out of their comfortable shoes into red high heels for an international initiative called "Walk a Mile in Her Shoes".

Its a protest about violence against women where more than 300 men wore heels to call for an end to rape, sexual assault and gender violence. Lebanon only passed a law criminalizing domestic abuse last year.

Civil rights activists say that an average of one woman is killed every month in Lebanon by her husband and that thousands of others are subjected to physical or verbal abuse. The event is raising money for women's rights organization KAFA which means 'Enough' in Arabic.

KAFA works to eliminate gender violence and has previously said it receives around 2,600 calls a year. "Walk a Mile in Her Shoes" has been hosted in more than 100 countries.
