Syrian Army Advances Against ISIS in Kurdish Areas

The Syrian Army and local defense units are gaining ground against Islamic State (ISIS) forces in Kurdish regions of the country. The advances in Hasakah province in northeastern Syria were achieved despite Turkish support for ISIS. At the same time, the Turkish Army has established a buffer zone along the border to prevent ISIS combatants from entering the country. Hazem Abdullah reports from Damascus. teleSUR
