USA: Charleston Murders Deemed Act of Terrorism

In an area with a long history as a bastion of white supremacy, some Charleston residents condemn the murders of nine black people in their city last Wednesday. One young white man said: “This is terrorism any way you put it. . .I don’t want to hear any more excuses that some is mentally ill because they’re doing something like this.” And a young African American woman had this to say: “You know, we do have a lot of battles that we have to conquer, being an African American.
