Tug of War, Chess Vie For Inclusion In 2020 Tokyo Olympics

Organizers of the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo have released a list of 26 sports--including tug of war, chess, American football, and softball and baseball--that have applied to be a part of the competition.

Twenty-six sports are now vying to be added to the list of those played at the Tokyo Summer Olympics in 2020, according to organizers. 

Among the more unconventional entrants are tug-of-war which was an Olympic event until 1920; flying disc which involves a frisbee; orienteering, where teams navigate through different courses using a map; and floorball which is akin to hockey but without skates.
