Indian Coast guard inducts four new vessels, Porbandar - Tv9 Gujarati

The Indian Coast Guard inducted three interceptor boats and a ship to its fleet at its Porbandar facility in Gujarat. The vessel, named Ankit, contains modern radar and weapons facility, and the three interceptor boats will be used for surveillance and recue in the region. Vice Admiral HCS Bisht stressed on the rapid expansion plans and the urgency behind the process. The coast guard has about 116 vessels now and is fast expanding; by 2020 it is slated to reach 120.
