While a train was entering into the Shibuya Station on the Yamanote Line this Tuesday afternoon, a woman in her 60s threw herself on the railway tracks.

The woman threw herself on the tracks at the Shibuya Station on the Yamanote Line this Tuesday afternoon. While the train was still approaching to the station, she stumbled on the railway, falling onto the 30-cm gap between the track and the train. After the train had stopped after running 150m over her, she poked her head out from beneath the train to ask for help. She escaped without injuries after dozens of passengers pushed the train forward to help her out. Her failed suicide attempt delayed 19 trains for up to nearly half an hour and stalled 26,000 passengers' commute.
