Registered Jerry Pocklington spent two days on the run with his jailbait lover and 14-year-old stepdaughter before police captured him in Maryland Heights, Missouri.
Pocklington began the relationship with his stepdaughter in July of last year. They left Litchfield, Illinois, and Pocklington wanted to head to New York, where he would legally marry his step-daughter when she became of age.
Instead, they hitchhiked to St. Louis, Missouri, and onto Maryland Heights.
The couple found an unlocked van in the parking lot of a Maryland Heights. They climbed in and stayed the night, with Pocklington committing statutory rape, police allege.
The next morning, witnesses spotted the suspicious pair and called police. Pocklington attempted to flee but was captured.
The stepdaughter is now with relatives but hasn't been reunited with her mother. Pocklington faces statutory rape charges and faces 25 years in jail in Missouri.
