Final construction was still ongoing at the Arena de Sao Paulo earlier this week ahead of Thursday's opener between hosts Brazil and Croatia. Construction was delayed following an accident in November when a crane collapsed killing two workers. But football's governing body and World Cup organizer FIFA doesn't seem too worried, even though the stadium has not staged the kind of full capacity test event that are the norm following completion of such projects. The first time the stadium will have a capacity crowd for the Brazil-Croatia opener will be on Thursday.
