The Santa Clara County Sheriff's Office has released this surveillance video of a man attacking a liquor store clerk with liquor bottles.

The robbery occurred on June 16 at a liquor store on the 400 block of Bascom Avenue in unincorporated San Jose.

Before the video starts, according to the sheriff's office, the man asked the clerk about the price of a bottle of liquor. When the clerk turned to check the price, the suspect went behind the counter and began grabbing bottles of liquor and cigarettes. He then started throwing liquor bottles at the clerk. When the clerk fought back, the suspect took him down and punched him repeatedly. In the aftermath, which is not shown on the video, a customer intervened and the suspect fled in a white car.

The suspect is described as an adult Hispanic male standing at 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighing 160 to 180 pounds. He had a mustache and black curly hair in a ponytail. He was wearing a black hat bearing the letters "SF" and a black T-shirt with "CALI LIFE" written on the front.

Anyone with information on the suspect is asked to contact the sheriff's office at 408-808-4431.
