Alligator attack: 9-year-old boy in Florida survives by fighting back and freeing himself from jaws

A 9-year-old Florida boy fought off a 400-pound alligator with just his bare hands and wits on Thursday and survived.
James Barney Jr. got off from his bike and decided to take a quick dip in the restricted area of Lake Tohopekaliga.
He felt something brush against his leg, that’s when he reached below the water to see what it was.
He pulled on the giant alligator’s teeth and had to react quickly, so started punching, he told authorities.
The brave boy managed to fight off the animal and was rushed to a nearby hospital. James suffered 30 teeth marks and some scratches.
He is currently recovering and says he’ll never swim in the lake again.
