Hong Kong democracy protests: Did police already use rubber bullets?

As anti-government protests over the right to universal suffrage continue to rage in Hong Kong, police are being criticized for using heavy-handed tactics and their overzealous use of tear gas and pepper spray on peaceful protesters.

With fears of a further escalation, several protest groups have urged demonstrators to leave as they are worried police may use rubber bullets to disperse the crowds.

Some protesters have alleged riot police may have already used them, although there so far has been no evidence to back up these claims

Despite the efforts of police to clear the demonstrations late Sunday night, the protesters continued to control major roads in at least three parts of the city early Monday.
