Hot mic fail: councilman forgets to turn off his mic during bathroom break in video - TomoNews

A mayor pro tem from Georgetown, Texas had to giggle her way through a brief speech when her colleague’s hot mic filled the council chamber with noises from the bathroom.
In a Youtube video that has garnered more than 800,000 views in just two days, an unidentified councilman can be seen leaving the room while Rachael Jonrowe takes the floor.
A few seconds into her speech, the councilman can be heard latching a door and urinating into the toilet. Jonrowe pauses to laugh but composes herself and continues.
The councilman apparently had no idea he was broadcasting his bathroom break to the entire room. In the video, he can be heard flushing the toilet after about a minute. Jonrowe tries to keep it together but breaks into fits of laughter several more times before finishing her speech.
“Ok, I’m gonna stop talking now,” she says in the video after finishing her talk on antibiotic-resistant diseases.
The other members in the chamber can be seen laughing during Jonrowe’s talk.
Several Youtube commenters noted the councilman did not wash his hands after flushing the toilet.
“Oh god, he didn’t wash his hands,” wrote username TheRoomy. “That’s disgusting.”
Lucky for the councilman, no one has stepped up to identify him.
