Father of the year: Man uses his own child as human shield in burglary shootout

A man has been arrested after attempting to rob a house in Adamsville, Georgia, and using his own son as human shield to avoid gunfire.
Thirty-year-old burglar Rickie Rashee Walls and his accomplice 24-year-old Ronnie Lee William, were in the act of robbing a house when a neighbor spotted them and called the house's owner.
The home owner rushed home from work and fired several warning shots to threaten the thieves. At that point, Walls used his own baby as human shield to escape gunfire.
Together with his accomplice and while holding the baby, Walls run away, stole a car and fled the scene. After their car got stuck they tried to flee on foot, but were arrested soon after.
Both men have been charged with burglary and theft of property.
The baby's mother and Child Protective Services have been notified on the incident.
