UN Report says 950 Killed in Saudi-Led Airstrikes

A new report issued by the United Nations reveals that 85% of all Yemeni people have been affected by Saudi-led airstrikes that began last March 26th and that 950 people have been killed. At least 300 of these are civilians, including 143 children and 95 women. Close to 4,000 people have been injured. The UN calls for international aid to alleviate a humanitarian crisis. Several different Yemeni organizations refute the UN figures, saying that the death toll is much higher. Since ending the airstrikes, the Saudi-led coalition has shifted to battles on the ground. According to one analyst, the continued ground fighting confirms that the Saudi coalition cannot control the situation in Yemen. Nashwan Abdullah reports from Damascus for teleSUR.
