Yamaha 125cc Saluto Commuter Bike Launched In India
  • 9 years ago
Reportedly, the famous sports bike maker Yamaha, after the launch of new R1, brought to India a new commuter called Saluto. Packed by the 125cc engine, it produces segment’s least output of 8.2bhp after mated to a four-speed manual gearbox.
As per the segmentation, and looking down the market demands, Saluto offers maximum fuel-efficiency of 78kmpl, where no one else in the class went this forth. Such good economy surely compensate for the less power offered.
On its appearance, the new commuter of Yamaha happens to pose as a typical commuter motorcycle. The dual shock absorbers at rear and telescopic at the front without the option of disc brakes confirm its resemblance to the commuter segment.
Overall, Yamaha’s Saluto has everything on-board the community demands, where additional features like electric starter and a resin cover on fuel-tank to avoid heat makes it more valuable. Hence, Honda Shine must take better note of it because, Yamaha has confirmed to focus here exorbitantly, where it could even discontinue its XBR and SS 125 for the strategic purpose.
