Texas plumber gets death threats after his old truck appears in Jihadist tweet

A Texas plumbing company is getting unwanted attention after its old company truck surfaced in a tweet from an Islamist extremist group.

Employees of Mark-1 Plumbing of Texas City, Texas have reportedly been getting vicious phone calls and threats.

“We have a secretary here, she’s scared to death. We all have families. We don’t want no problems,” Mark Oberholtzer said.

Another company employee said he sold the company truck to an AutoNation dealership in Houston in October 2013. He reportedly did not remove the decals before sealing the deal.

Now it appears the truck has resurfaced in Syria.

The group Ansar al-Deen tweeted a picture of the company truck equipped with a large anti-aircraft gun. The plumbing company’s name and phone number were clearly visible in the photo.

Mark-1 Plumbing has reportedly been in contact with Twitter about removing the photo. But shortly after the tweet went viral, another video surfaced showing a similar truck.

In the footage, a black truck fires the anti-aircraft gun, but the Mark-1 Plumbing logo and phone number is not there. The video has lead to discussion as to whether the tweeted picture was photoshopped.
