Indonesian authorities believe they have found the wreckage of the missing AirAsia flight 8501 after obtaining sonar images of a large, dark object resting on the seafloor.

The suspected wreckage of the Airbus 320-200 was spotted near where debris and bodies were found near the aircraft’s last known location. Indonesian authorities said they have obtained a sonar image that shows an airplane upside down about 30 to 50 metres underwater, Reuters reported.

Seven bodies have been recovered from the water so far. One of the female bodies was wearing a flight attendant’s uniform, CNN reported.

Aviation experts say that a fully clothed body could indicate that the plane was intact when it crashed into water, Reuters reported.
