Severe burn photos: Pizza smeared in Nova Scotia woman's face causes serious wounds

A 29-year-old Nova Scotia woman is facing charges after using a hot pizza pie to burn her victim's face, neck and chest.

Paige Beaudry, 22, said she was waiting in line at the Pizza Market in Truro with her boyfriend, when an unidentified man butted in line.

Beaudry confronted the man.

"I just said nicely, like politely, 'I'm sorry but we've been waiting here, the end of the line's back there and same with all these other people behind us,'" Beaudry told CTV News.

Then the man's friend turned around and threatened to throw her pizza in Beaudry's face.

"I didn't want to start a fight," Beaudry said.

But the woman shoved the pizza in Beaudry's face, burning the skin on her face, neck and chest.

Beaudry and her boyfriend reportedly went across the street to call police.

Three women involved in the incident turned themselves in, and the woman who threw the pie is facing charges of causing bodily harm.
