Woman Smeared Blood on Herself to Appear Dead During Nairobi Mall Rampage

The young Kenyan mother reportedly smeared a boy’s blood all over her body to make it look as though she was dead during the mall rampage.
One woman went to desperate lengths in order to save her life during the Nairobi mall massacre.
The young Kenyan mother reportedly smeared a boy’s blood all over her body to make it look as though she was dead.
Prior to the incident, the woman had been having coffee with a friend at the Westgate mall when the sounds of gunfire broke out.
She immediately dropped to the floor as the gunmen took over the space.
While crouching in her makeshift hiding spot, she heard the sounds of a cellphone ringing, coming from a male who was right next to her on the floor.
Panicked the noise would draw attention to them, the woman reached under his body in an attempt to shut the device’s sound off. That’s when she felt a sticky liquid and realized the young boy had been shot and was bleeding.
She pulled her hand back and rubbed the blood all over her body to appear as though she had been shot as well. The woman reflected on the boy stating “I’d love to know who he was, because I think his blood protected me, saved my life.”
