Ahmedabad: Companies given IRS contract to prevent malaria exists only on papers - Tv9

Ahmedabad: In the year 2014-15, Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) gave IRS (Indoor residual spraying) contract to three agencies to combat Malaria. The corporation paid them on the basis of papers furnished but it failed to verify in-depth which left work only on papers. "We have black listed one company and others penalized", said Bhavin Solanki, Deputy Health Officer.
