On Tuesday, a dog was found frozen to the ground in Michigan. According to The News-Herald, Ecorse Public Safety Chief Michael Moore, claimed there were actually two canines that required assistance, a Chow mix and a pit bull, but it was the first dog that was in the worst condition.

Animal control workers were sent to the scene and Patricia Trevino of the River Rouge Animal Shelter said the efforts to free the female Chow mix named Elsa took about 30 minutes and required the use of warm water to get body off the ground.

It's unclear at this time how long the canine was left out in the bitter cold, but her leash was woven around her body and she wasn't responsive when rescuers were working to help he
