It was a picture perfect moment when one of the most prestigious black lady was presented to one of the most deserving actor, by one of the most revered actor in Indian cinema. While it was no big surprise when Shahid Kapoor bagged the biggest award of the evening, Best Actor award, but what made it special was presence of one of the biggest cinematic icons of our nation, Amitabh Bachchan, on stage.

What’s so special about Big B handing over the award to Shahid? Lets just freeze that image of Shahid receiving Best Actor award from Amitabh, and think for a moment. At one side of the stage there was living legend, Amitabh Bachchan, who rose to limelight thanks to his angry young man avatar in the late 70′s. And at the other end, there was Shahid Kapoor, who had redeemed himself by giving a stellar performance in Haider. Many drew comparisons of Shahid’s angry young man avatar with Amitabh Bachchan’s angry young man avatar, as the two had something special in them that set them apart from other action heroes.
