Expedia has once again surveyed many and compiled a list of the types of fellow fliers airline passengers find most annoying.
For its second annual Airplane Etiquette Survey, Expedia has compiled a list of the types of fellow fliers airline passengers find most annoying.
This time around seat kickers earned themselves the number 1 spot.
They took the title from inattentive parents, who fell a notch to become the second most irritating people on a plane.
The competition between the two was a close one, though.
Falling just below them but still high overall were aromatic passengers.
People who eat particularly pungent foods in the tight, sealed space didn’t have too many fans, either.
Other behaviors that were largely unwelcome included playing audio at louder than reasonable levels, talking too much, and hauling more carry-ons than technically permitted.
People who do any of those things should be on watch, because retaliation is real.
Just over 10 percent of those questioned admitted to recording or photographing etiquette violators and more than 5 percent said they shame them on social media.
In excess of 20% said they aren’t afraid to confront others face to face.
With the survey results comes a reminder from Expedia’s VP who noted, "…few places require more attention to etiquette than the inside of an airplane."
