The devices were iPhone 6s and as we all know, they certainly don’t come cheap. Together, the 99 phones cost about 82 thousand dollars.
According to reports, the man, who is a programmer, arranged the boxed phones in the shape of a heart before proposing to the woman of his choice in front of a gathering of friends and bystanders.
Unfortunately for him, the woman declined his proposal. The man was left standing in the middle of his makeshift heart all alone, holding a bunch of flowers.
The rejection comes at a decent time, however. November 11th is the country’s “Single’s Day”, a date that celebrates the joys of not having a significant other.
Some Chinese social media users have already pointed out the rejected male shouldn’t have any trouble getting most, if not all of his money back on the highly sought after iPhone 6’s, while others have suggested it was nothing more than a publicity stunt.
