Fighting between Islamic State and Kurdish fighters

A firefight in the Syrian town of Kobani -- the latest skirmishes between Islamic State militants and Kurdish fighters.
On the outskirts of the town, amateur video shows men said to be Islamic State fighters firing on Kurdish forces from the backs of pickup trucks.
This northern town near the Syrian-Turkish border has become the site of intensified violence that has forced local populations out.
Many are joining the already more than 150,000 in Turkey for refuge.
Mustafa Ali is a Syrian Kurd who says there was no choice but to run in the face of death.
(SOUNDBITE) (Kurdish) SYRIAN KURD, MUSTAFA ALI, SAYING:
"We came here because we were afraid of getting killed. We are devastated. They kill everyone. We have nothing left. Look how we are living now."
