Olympic swimming champion Michael Phelps is in hot water again.

The 18-time Olympic gold medalist has been arrested for drunken driving.

Maryland Transportation Authority Police say Phelps was pulled over after speeding and then crossing the double-lane lines inside Baltimore's Fort McHenry Tunnel.

Radar clocked Phelps traveling 84 miles per hour in a 45 miles per hour zone, according to police.

Phelps took a series of field sobriety tests, which police said he was unable to perform.

He was book and released.

Phelps was charged in Maryland in 2004 for drunken driving when he was 19 years old. He pleaded guilty to driving while impaired in exchange for 18 months' probation.

Representatives for Phelps could not be immediately reached for comment.
