Olympic gold medal swimmer Michael Phelps arrested again for drunk driving in Baltimore, Maryland

Olympic champion swimmer Michael Phelps was busted for driving under the influence for a second time early Tuesday morning.
The 29-year-old was seen crossing double lane lines in Baltimore and was followed by police through the Fort McHenry Tunnel on I-395 at about 1:40 a.m.
According to a police statement, Phelps’ SUV was at one point doing 84 miles per hour in a 45 mile-per-hour zone. He was pulled over after he passed a toll plaza near the tunnel. Phelps failed field sobriety tests and his blood alcohol level was twice the legal limit.
Tuesday’s scenario was similar to an incident in 2004 when Phelps was busted for drunk driving after running a red light near Salisbury University. He pleaded guilty to the DUI charge and agreed to serve 18 months of probation and give speeches at schools about his mistakes.
Phelps apparently didn’t learn his lesson. In 2009 a photo of him smoking a bong at a college party appeared on the front page of a British tabloid.
Phelps has tweeted series of apologies about his latest charge with DUI incident.
